World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade
The feature of upgrading items allows players to increase the level for equippable weapons or armor. This improves the stats and sometimes adds buffs or rerolls an affix.
It is important to remember that upgrading magic and common gear isn't always worth the cost. Rare and unique gear will soon surpass the standard equipment and upgraded magic.
Cost
The player must spend gold to upgrade an item. The cost of upgrading an item is dependent on its current level and
upgrade item type chosen. Upgrades to weapons are usually cheaper than upgrades to armor since weapons have less requirements. The amount of Gold required to upgrade an item increases as the item is upgraded to the next level.
A new item will also come with increased stats, which can improve its performance in a variety of ways. This could include increasing its attack power or critical strike chance. Additionally an upgraded item might be able to give additional buffs to the unit it is equipped with. These upgrades are able to be used for a variety of reasons for example, to increase the overall strength of a particular or group unit. They can also be a significant influence on gameplay.
Items can be upgraded by any item upgrader NPC in the game. These NPCs can be found in the major questing areas or capital cities. Players can also find

The World of Warcraft
item upgrade system allows players to increase the level of weapons, armor and trinkets. item upgrades with a special tool in the menu of items. This option exchanges the upgraded item with a level 1 version that has an additional set of bonus effects. This is useful for obtaining better scores on items that have been upgraded, but can be a waste of money.
Requirements
The process of upgrading items that are equippable like weapons, armor and trinkets is to raise the level of the item. This improves their stats and can make them more effective in combat. Players can upgrade gear by spending appropriate currencies at an
item upgrader NPC. However, players must be aware that some upgrades have specific requirements.
The first upgrades increase the base item's stats by one level, but later upgrades give more substantial boosts. Upgrades from levels 3 to 6 will increase the weapon's damage by two levels. Additionally, the upgraded item will be awarded an additional stat that is based on the tier it's in. The bonus consists of a guaranteed substat as well as a randomly generated stat, which will vary from upgrade to upgrade.
A player can Reroll an upgraded item using a Reroll Token to exchange the upgrade for a new version. The new
item upgrader kit has a distinct set of bonuses, as well as a lower level for the item. The rerolled item will also have different requirements for strength and dexterity. It is important to remember that the item rerolled won't be able to keep its original strength or have any wasted resources.

Time
Upgrades to items are a method to increase your gear and ship stats without needing to level them up. Upgrades aren't cheap but they are a good way to increase your stats without having to spend so much time fighting. However, it's important to know the costs and benefits of upgrades to your item prior to investing time or money.
Each upgrade increases an item's base stat by a specific amount and also gives a chance for a bonus substat increase. The additional substat is randomly assigned and may range from a small increase in one statistic to a larger increase in another. It is recommended to concentrate on the top-performing items in your slot first, as they will provide a greater return on your investment.
You can see the time it takes to complete an upgrade by opening your inventory and selecting the weapon, ship, or other accessory. The upgrade window will then display the progress and expected completion time. In certain cases, you may be able to speed up the process of upgrading by applying an Glyph.
Black Lion Salvage or Ascended Salvage offer a salvage kit that allows you to salvage all or a portion upgrade components. However, this does not include legendary equipment or upgrades which can be recovered by using an Upgrade Extractor, or by returning them to the appropriate merchant of karma.
Rewards
The upgrading of items provides players with currency and a variety of items. In addition, every upgrade can provide a random extra stat bonus. The amount of bonus awarded differs for each upgrade, and is generally higher for rarer items. Players can use the Great Vault search to see whether an item is upgradeable prior to purchasing tickets. The search can assist in determining whether the item is of a specific tier and whether the player would benefit by an upgrade.
During the upgrade process the item will gradually advance to its next level but won't always reach a fully upgraded bar. The process will consume Growthstones and Sollant, but there is a ten percent chance to obtain an item that is fully upgraded in only one cycle of growth. The higher the level an item gains the more powerful its stat value will be, and the more items that can be upgraded.
Upgrade components can be inserted into weapons, armor, and trinkets in order to give an attribute bonus or additional effect when the equipment is equipped. Certain upgrade components can be equipped with additional cosmetic effects. Players can acquire upgrade items by crafting, buying from vendors or on the Trading Post, looting, or receiving as an incentive. In addition players can retrieve upgraded items by using an Upgrade Extractor, or salvaging them using a top-quality salvage kit. Glyphs that are placed on gathering tools can be freely swapped.
A player can turn an item into a different upgradeable item by selecting it and pressing the green button with an arrow for reroll. Rerolled items will not retain their level, or the resources used to upgrade it.
An item's maximum upgrade level is determined by its tier and the quality. Uncommon items can be upgraded up to an maximum of level six, while Rare and Epic items can be upgraded to level nine. The upgrades to items are added to the base stats of the item. This means that they won't increase further after a certain level.
